From Ocixem to Mexico

Process

This webquest will provide you with links that your crew can use to gather information about the country of Mexico as you are consider it as a landing/living site. Then follow these steps making sure you work cooperatively as a group and recording facts and information important in making your final decision.

Step 1. Using Links 1 and 2 given in the Resources section below, your crew
must look at possible landing sites using the view given from outer space (A satellite view). Narrow your landing site selection and investigate the variety of regions of Mexico.

Step 2. Decide the areas of specialization each crew member will assume.
Role 1: Physical geographer
Role 2: Cultural geographer
Role 3: Climatologist
Role 4: Resources specialist

Step 3. Conduct your search through the links given and facts found in other resources that are available to you. Keep in mind your purpose: to decide if Mexico, Western Hemisphere, Planet Earth is an acceptable site
for the new Ocixem colony.

Step 4: Gather your information as individuals to present to your fellow Ocixem flight crew members.

Step 5: As a way to keep a permanent record of the information you have gathered create maps, charts, posters, diagrams, and collages.

temperatures and precipitation along with city forecasts and month-to-month
